the wonderfully simple Czechoslovak camouflage consisting of thousands of little dark “needles” over a grey-green base.
Then somebody sewed a giant communist-looking VŠE PRAHA badge onto the sleeve, big fan.
VŠE Praha is Vysoká škola ekonomická v Praze the Prague University of Economics and Business.
During communist Czechoslovakia, universities operated within a system where male students could undergo military preparation connected with military departments.
And the badge itself is fantastic: red star, sword, open book and VŠE PRAHA. Apparently economics required considerably more swords in those days.
Construction is proper old-school field clothing: concealed front fastening, large field pockets, buttoned epaulettes, adjustable cuffs, reinforced wear areas and the distinctive Vz.60 heavy woven field fabric. Surviving Vz.60 variants can also have internal and rear storage, so we'll photograph/check yours before claiming an exact pocket count.
