An uncommon Russian VDV Airborne Forces field jacket in the famous VSR-93 camouflage, introduced during the early years of the Russian Federation.
Unlike the regular army field jackets, this airborne version features a built-in internal pistol holster and has no lower front pockets. A special configuration intended only for VDV paratroopers.
The jacket features two chest pockets, sleeve pockets, shoulder boards and a concealed button closure.
The VDV became particularly well known during the conflicts of the 1990s, including the First Chechen War, where Russian airborne units saw extensive combat.
An interesting and harder-to-find variation of the classic Russian 1990s military uniform.
Original used condition with normal signs of age and service. See pictures for details.
