Mongolian Banknote Set 10 & 50 Tögrög

Origin: Mongolia
State: Uncirculated
Material: Paper
Issued by: Bank of Mongolia
Contents: 1 × 10 tögrög + 1 × 50 tögrög

The man appearing on both notes is Damdin Sükhbaatar, one of the founding members of the Mongolian People’s Party and a military leader of the 1921 Mongolian revolution. These are modern banknotes, but his portrait keeps that revolutionary chapter firmly in view.

Turn them over and the uniform gives way to horses grazing beneath the mountains. A pleasing change from being stared at by another serious man in a hat.

Traditional Mongolian script and Cyrillic lettering share space across the designs, making this a small but distinctive addition to a world banknote collection.

Price is for one set of two banknotes: one of each denomination.
