Original East German NVA side cap from the early Cold War years.

Made in classic grey-green uniform fabric, with the embroidered DDR state emblem on the front.

Most examples are dated 1962, making these more than 60 years old! From a time when the Berlin Wall was still brand new and the Cold War was getting rather unpleasant.

The caps have slightly different shades of grey and show some differences in age and manufacture, it apprears slightly dirty on photo this is due to studio lights.

All original DDR military surplus, with their own little history.

Nice early examples for collectors of East German uniforms, or anyone who needs a proper socialist hat!
